Lincoln Hockey Club provides an excellent opportunity for children aged 5 to 16 to learn and develop in the game of hockey. We have anumber of experienced and qualified coaches who provide sessions that are engaging and enjoyable.
Training for the juniors takes place at Yarborough Leisure Centre from 9:00am to 11:00am each Saturday during the season (awaiting date for first session). The children can come down were they will be allocated the most appropriate group to work with and with the right commitment any junior can move up through the groups and aim for higher levels of hockey.
Lincoln HC, along with the training, have opportunities to play in junior teams at regular festivals around the county. The players will have chances to test their skills against like minded players to add another dimension to their development.
If you are interested in coming or you think your child will benefit from being part of an established junior section that has achieved the club first accreditation plus has excellent links to higher levels of hockey then please come / bring them down. the first session is free (£3.00 for each session there after) and we hope to see you at the training sessions. Please be aware that a mouth guard and shin pads are essential protection to take part in training
For more information please contact Tony Perrin (Youth Development Officer and Head Youth Coach) on 01522 868974 or 07803115968
The junior section ensures that all it's volunteers have a CRB check and there are qualified coaches on hand at all times. Furthermore members of the coaching team have valid first aid certificates to ensure that the players can be dealt with if an accident happens. All this had to be in place to achieve the award and we are very proud to have achieved this after working with juniors for many years.
